We invite applications for the position of Vice President for Institutional Advancement. Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President provides leadership and vision for the development, implementation, and evaluation of a broad range of processes related to communications, public relations, college archive data, resource development, research, economic development, strategic planning, assessment and evaluation of the institution’s effectiveness. The position works as part of a leadership team to further the goals of the College.
The successful candidate must have a Master’s degree and five years of progressive administration experience and proven accomplishments in areas of responsibility. Experience in higher education and a Doctorate are preferred. In addition, the successful candidate must demonstrate innovation, creativity and strategic thinking to execute fund-raising, planned giving, strategic planning, research and evaluation, grant writing and public relations in service to the college community.

The Greater Community AIDS Project (GCAP) is seeking candidates for a one quarter time Sponsorship Director. Founded in 1985, GCAP is a local non-profit providing housing assistance, emergency aid, and other forms of support for people living with HIV/AIDS in the 10 surrounding counties, as well as providing education about HIV/AIDS to the community.
Position Description:
The Sponsorship Director will coordinate all aspects of GCAP’s sponsorship program, including identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of community business sponsors in support of the various events that GCAP puts on each year.
Responsibilities:
· Provide consistency and organization to the sponsorship efforts of GCAP, including establishing a database of sponsors and potential sponsors and a timeline for annual solicitations.
· Create and implement a stewardship plan for sponsors to keep them connected to the organization and informed about how their sponsorships have been used to benefit the community.
· Work from existing relationships between GCAP and local businesses to expand the number of sponsorships and the amount of revenue they generate for GCAP.
· Partner with the board and the Executive Director to identify new sponsors.
· Keep detailed records of contact with sponsors, outcomes of those contacts, and next steps.
· Monitor and regularly report progress on sponsorships at monthly board meetings.
Qualifications:
Needs to be a high energy, out-going, self-starter capable of working independently. Strong organizational skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills a must. Sales, fund-raising, or related experience is required. Established knowledge of the local business community is preferred.
