The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) East Central Illinois Chapter is pleased to be hosting the presentation, “Successful Social Media Fundraising” on Thursday May 23, 2013 at the Danville Area Community College Bremer Center from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Lunch will be provided!

The chapter has chosen Danville as the site for its inaugural “AFP on the Road” educational networking event. The guest speaker, Nathan Hand, is a professional fundraiser and nonprofit blogger who enjoys connecting people with the causes that need them. Read more.

Mr. Hand’s presentation will include information on how and why social media is revolutionizing the world and the work of fundraisers, which tools to use for what purposes, how to manage your social media in 10 minutes a day and case studies of real successes (and failures) in raising money using social media.
